Millhaven Manor Residential Project
Concept Statement
The inspiration for this Spartanburg home is the application of nature and natural aesthetics, a nostalgic look back on the couple's younger years, and a warm comforting feeling that involves family. The couple moving into the home are grandparents and their grown children and small grandchildren are a large part of their lives, meaning the feeling of the home needs to include familial comforts from Germany. The wife is an artist that spends a majority of her time at home so there are strong feminine touches to the inspiration, while still keeping it largely unisex to accommodate the husband and other family members.
